What is underfloor heating?
Underfloor heating uses the basic principle of heat rising. It can be installed in solid or suspended floors and provides an easy, controllable and even temperature in a room. It can be more economical to run than a standard, conventional heating system whilst offering more comfort on a lower temperature. Sound’s ideal doesn’t it?
There are two types of underfloor heating:
- A dry system which uses electric coils.
- A wet system which pumps water through a maze of pipes underneath your floor – a method actually used by the Roman’s to heat baths.
If it’s good enough for the Roman’s – it is definitely good enough for your home.
Which heating system is right for my home?
There are many factors that must be taken into consideration and there are many products available on the markets, so our expert team can make sure that whatever you choose fits your needs and is installed into your home to provide you with the maximum impact.
What are the benefits of underfloor heating?
The main benefit is that it provides room-by-room temperature control and is generally more economical to use, resulting in lower bills.
Also, underfloor heating heats up an area almost immediately around them and then the heat quickly travels upwards.
In comparison, conventional heating systems, using radiators have to work a lot harder than underfloor heating for you to feel the effects.
